Mid June Bite

The cold water seems to be hanging around this year. That in turn makes for good steelhead action with a few salmon and lake trout to be caught off of the surface and shallow set downriggers. Yesterday 6/18 we were only fishing in 60 to 90ft of water. Mother nature is keeping the cold water close with the slight breeze from the north, perfect. Limit catches of steelhead and lake trout are common. The brown trout are getting active as well, due to the spawning baitfish that are leaving the shoreline. June is a good month to fish.
