April has to go down as one of the best in my memory for all around fish, including many king salmon. May is starting to slow down with the big numbers of salmon,(less than 15 bites) but the rest of the species are still chewing. We are fishing from 8 to 40ft of water and anywhere from ginna nuclear power plant to lighthouse pt which is a 25 mile spread. The browns are getting larger as the season goes on, as are the rest of the fish. The thermo bar which are surface breaks should be setting up nicely to catch a pile of steelhead (rainbows) and salmon with a few lakers sprinkled in. June is that month when it all happens. Then brown trout looking for the bait that has left the inside waters are hungry. Steelhead are one of my favorite fish to chase. Keep in touch, hope to talk to you soon.
